For years, boys in first through twelfth grade have enjoyed participating in The Salvation Army's Adventure Corps. The group uses a format similar to the Boy Scouts, emblem earning, and focuses on working with others, providing service within the community, learning about other cultures, meeting new people, and building friendships. Younger Adventure Corps members, grades first through fourth, are considered Explorers, whereas fifth through twelfth grade boys are referred to as Ranger.
In addition, boys in Adventure Corps have the opportunity to participate in service projects and attend summer camps.
Adventure Corps Pledge:
"I promise to explore God's Word and God's world to find ways to serve Him and help others;
to develop and guard good habits so that I will grow as God desires;
and to adventure into the world with the "good news" of Jesus Christ."
Adventure Corps Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, help me to discover You as the Way, the Truth and the Life, and to find for myself that following You is the greatest adventure of all."
Adventure Corps Motto:
"Adventure With Christ!"
